Following on from the international release of their sophomore album The Weight of Melted Snow on Muscle Beach Records, an extensive USA tour and appearances at SXSW this year, Wellington dream-pop band French for Rabbits have announced a four-date New Zealand tour this August presented by Under the Radar and Home Alone.
The tour will see the band trial a fresh batch of new songs ahead of recording for their third full-length record. The songs cover a wide range of subjects – climate change, feminism, memory loss, art and money, insomnia and the preservation of memories in objects.
The band will also release a beautifully designed limited edition cassette of The Weight of Melted Snow. These will be available exclusively on the tour and via the band’s Bandcamp page from August 9.
Dunedin’s show sees the band perform in the Crypt at St Pauls Cathedral with Repulsive Woman (who recently released a stellar new record) in support.
