Red Dirt Road Trip is the first single and music video release from Aly Cook’s forthcoming album Caught in the Middle. The new track is reflective of Aly Cook’s travels across Australia that has inspired many songs to fall from her pen. Red Dirt Road Trip is an ode to the freedom of the road co-written with friends and writing partners Buzz and Kay Bidstrup.
The Music Video was produced by Amy Shields from Light Tree Media and filmed near Alice Springs NT and in the Kimberley of WA. Featuring stunning outback footage of Aly driving the Troopy through the ‘Red Centre’ as she experiences the orange glow of the dawn light splashing across the vast and ancient landscape. She sits beside a cracking fire in the comfort of a swag rolled out on the red sand imparting a real feeling of the Australian Outback in all its vastness and spectacular glory.
Josef Jakamarra Egger, the assistant director is also featured in the video and brings support of CAAMA Music, CAAMA Technical and CAAMA Productions. Locations included Ross River Resort, the National Road Transport Hall of Fame and Deep Well Station. Vicky Biorac of B Visual Media filmed addition drone footage of Aly walking in the Boabs near Kununurra East Kimberley.
