The Byrds - Wasn't Born To Follow (1969)

Each Monday night, Marty Duda from Radio 13 is a guest on RadioLIVE to share and chat about classic albums from the past.

On this occasion, Marty and Mitch Harris listen to the album the Easy Rider Soundtrack, the very first compilation album in this class album review program. The soundtrack was released in 1969 and features songs hand-picked by Peter Fonda, the star of the film. Some of the tracks played over the air included:

  • The Byrds - Wasn't Born to Follow
  • Steppenwolf - The Pusher
  • Smith - The Weight
  • Fraternity of Man - Don't Bogart Me
  • The Jimi Hendrix Experience - If 6 Was 9
  • Roger McGuinn - It's Alright Ma (I'm Only Bleeding)
  • Roger McGuinn - The Ballad of Easy Rider
