The Arrangement Of Reb Fountain

The Arrangement. Directed by Lola Fountain-Best.

Ahead of going on tour with The Chills this week, NZ singer songwriter and winner of the 2018 NZ country music album of the year, Reb Fountain releases a new video for The Arrangement, a song from her album Little Arrows.

Reb & Director Lola Fountain-Best teamed up  for the video to share a positive representation of women, their bodies and artistic expression in this bold new music video for The Arrangement that features the incredibly talented Eve Armstrong-Coop and Tashy H’ng.

The Arrangement is about awakening to your strength when you’ve felt disempowered and finding power in your self expression. It was important to us to represent the freedom and beauty of female empowerment through bodily expression. It’s ok for women to be strong, vulnerable, sensual, safe … and naked … our bodies are worth valuing and sharing. We wanted to (re)frame the female body beyond the male gaze; we’ve offered a very feminine point of view of what it means to embrace oneself.

Reb heads into the studio to record a new album in October.

You can catch her and her band in full glory at The Southern Fork Americana Festival on 12th October at The Tuning Fork, Auckland. They’ll be bringing a whole albums worth of new tunes, with the goodness and badassness of Reb’s acclaimed The Boy Next Door, Hopeful & Hopeless & Little Arrows shows .. it’s gonna be a monster. With support from Tom Cunliffe.

Reb will be kicking off The Chills Snowbound Tour - playing solo support in Hamilton Gisborne and Napier.
