Growing up on the road as two-fifths of Canadian country group The Neilsons, Tami and Jay were supporting the likes of Johnny Cash from a very young age. With a wealth of stories from the road, the pair are set to bring some smiles, laughs and tears as they tell the tales behind some of Tami’s biggest songs, like their Silver Scroll Award-winning ‘Walk Back to Your Arms’, as well as exclusively premiering brand new songs from Tami’s upcoming new album.

Neilson’s music has become synonymous with our lives, adored by those at home and around the world for her powerhouse voice and heart-pounding soul injected into every word and every note. Neilson’s 2014 record Dynamite! changed the game musically, attracting a storm of worldwide attention. The album was named one of The Guardian’s Top 10 Country Albums of the Year and climbed to #1 on the NZ Charts in a spine-chillingly exciting triumph for the hard-working, independent artist. It would later take out Best Country Music Album at the 2015 NZ Music Awards, and forge the name ‘Tami Neilson’ into the cultural fabric of New Zealand music forever.

Her recent internationally acclaimed record Sassafrass! (nominated for Album of the Year at the NZ Music Awards) secured a number of glowing accolades worldwide, from the likes of Rolling Stone Country, American Songwriter, Pop Matters and No Depression. Tami now plays to sold-out crowds across North America, New Zealand and Europe, on a rigorous international touring schedule. Happy to be coming home, and bringing the magic of family with her; this is one charmer of a live experience not to be missed.

Tami is an amazing performer.I always love to see her perform.
She belts those songs out and touches me deeply with the way she
sings her songs.Every concert that I've been to of hers,is always
different.Every album is different and brings out different styles of music. She has a great band backing her and they are some of
    New Zealand's best musicians.

Country music is always at the heart of Tami but she is lending herself
more to pop and soul these days. She is confident and sassy but so
real. One of my favourite concerts was Tami singing gospel songs.
It was just the best!I would love to hear her do more of these songs.

Another concert I enjoyed was at the Auckland Folk Festival,January
2019.Singer/songwriter sessions that they do there and here was Tami
just with her guitar and talking about songs that she had written and
singing them.I really loved it because it was up close and personal.
We were all under a huge tent and sitting on our bums and just listening
and it was so beautiful. That was my favourite gig at the AFF!

I am so glad that we will get to see another side again of Tami-this time
with her brother,Jay.This will be special and it will have the same feel.
Tami-up close and personal and singing her heart out.Love it and I love her!I am looking forward to more new songs and a special time.
